Since we re-opened in August 2020, we have welcomed thousands of faces, new and old, back to our museums to enjoy some of the incredible ships and collections we have on offer. It was especially heart-warming to see so many people enjoying themselves over the last two weeks and making the most of half term.

Unfortunately, following the Prime Minister’s announcement on Saturday, 31 October we are now required to close our museums in line with public health guidance. We can therefore confirm that all The National Museum of the Royal Navy sites including Fleet Air Arm Museum will be temporarily closed from Thursday 4 November until Wednesday 2 December 2020.

However, whilst we are closed, you will still be able to purchase a ticket without booking a day/time to visit. Your ticket will not be activated until it is redeemed upon entry to the museum. We are dependent on the money we generate to care for our aircraft and collections, so if you wanted to buy now to support us during this challenging time or to buy a ticket as a present to be redeemed at a later date, it would be a wonderful way of showing your continued support. For the time being we have taken the daily booking slots offline, however, when we know it is safe to reopen and in line with government guidance these will go back online. For those with an unredeemed ticket you can keep this and redeem it on your first visit to the site after reopening, and we will be adding a 28 day ticket extension to those with valid 12 month tickets – more details about this can be found in our FAQs.
