Summer Activities - Falconry Friday Flyday's: 1st to 31st August 2019

Summer Activities - Falconry Friday Flyday's

Friday is Falconry Fly-Day!

Several hundred years before the Navy’s first manned flight, Leonardo Da Vinci was already observing birds in an attempted to understand how they fly. Join us on Fridays throughout August (2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th) to follow in his footsteps, as you get up close and personal with Birds of Prey from Pitcombe Rock Falconry. Displays will be running at intervals throughout the day, giving you an opportunity to see these incredible creatures in flight.

Perfect Paper Planes

Every great plane starts with a pen and a piece of paper! Visit us on any day in August to make and test a range of wild paper plane designs under Concorde. Will your design soar the furthest? Or will it crash to the floor? Come and find out in this self-guided activity.
