Financial Donations & Legacies
Financial Donations

The Fleet Air Arm Museum is Europe's and the Commonwealth's largest naval aviation museum. We house over ninety rare and important aircraft, from the very first aircraft to have taken part in a naval battle (the Short 184 in the Battle of Jutland in 1916) to the first British built Concorde.
We house as many as two million records and some thirty thousand artefacts ranging from old photographs, uniforms and enlistment papers to ships' bells and weaponry.
Our funding from the MOD amounts to approximately 40% of our running costs. The remaining 60% has to be generated by the museum through our own fund raising initiatives. Our restoration and maintenance programmes are therefore both demanding and financially challenging.
Please help us by making a donation to our museum.
All donations will be gratefully received and very wisely used.
If you would like to discuss making a donation to the museum please contact Graham Mottram, Director, The Fleet Air Arm Museum, Box D6, RNAS Yeovilton Somerset BA22 8HT, Tel: 01935 842624 or send your donation to The Fleet Air Arm Museum.
Gift Aid
If you are planning a visit to the museum, please take a minute to apply for Gift Aid by talking to the admission staff on arrival, this will enable us to claim the Tax back on your admission fee.
Gift Aid is an Inland Revenue scheme which
allows us (because we are a registered Charity) to reclaim tax on any donation
made by a UK taxpayer, at the basic rate and thereby effectively increase your
donation by 28% without it costing you any more.
If you complete the Gift Aid process, you will receive 12
months free access to the Museum. Free entry
is not available for the Museum's Model shows
and the Yeovilton Air Day.
Legacies:
The Museum has an ambitious development plan which includes such improvements as: improving our facilties for visitors with disabilities, digitising our archive of photographs and records and rebuilding rare aircraft...the list is long! However, our development plan is unlikely to be fully achieved unless outside funding can be obtained.
Please help us maintain and improve our museum by including the Fleet Air Arm Museum and any charitable legacy you may be considering.
It will not be possible for you to stipulate the specific project to which your legacy should be allocated however we will endeavour to reflect your wishes. In any event, your legacy would be used wisely and would help the museum represent our priceless naval heritage for generations to come.
Thank you
