RNAS Yeovilton

RNAS Yeovilton (HMS Heron) has been in operation for over 60 years and operates over 100 aircraft,
which includes the Sea Harrier FA.2, Lynx helicopter and the RN Commando force which operate the Sea King Mk4 helicopter.

The primary role at Yeovilton is to train new pilots to fly the Sea Harrier and Sea King.

RNAS Yeovilton covers over 1000 acres of airfield site and is manned by around 1650 service and 2000 civilian personnel.

Also based at Yeovilton is the Swordfish Heritage Trust which display vintage aircraft at Airshows all around the country.
