10/05/1949 - flight testing resumed; cockpit hood lost during flight 06/09 to 11/09/1949 - at SBAC Show - 6 flights
09 to 11/1949 - handling trials at Boscombe Down
01 to 03/1950 - further trials
07/1950 - inspection by RAE; modified for naval use
14/09/1950 - flown as such by MJ Lithgow
20/09/1950 - flown to Farnborough by LR Colquhoun for dummy deck trials including Rocket Assisted Take Off Gear trials
08/11/1950 - first landing of a swept wing aircraft on a carrier deck, HMS Illustrious. Twelve landings and take offs were made, three by Lt J Elliot, with the remainder by Lt Cdr DG Parker of Boscombe Down and MJ Lithgow
09/11/1950 - three further landings. Due to low thrust on one RATOG pack the aircraft swung on take off and wingtip hit ships gun turret (pilot Lt Cdr DG Parker); fitted with hinged fuselage
14 /11/1952 - with RAE Farnborough flown by T Gordon Innes - undercarriage failure and made wheels up landing
02 /09/1953 - flown again after repair by Dave Morgan of Supermarine 06/1954 - allocated 7175M
14/01/1955 - flying career ended and allocated to RAF Melksham 17/01/1955 - moved to 1 SOTT at RAF Halton
20/06/1961 - to 2 Recruit Centre at RAF Cardington
09/06/1964 - moved to RAF Colerne Museum
29/09/1975 - moved to RAF St Athan Museum
01/1977 - moved to RAF Cosford Museum
03/05/1990 - to FAAM store at RNAS Lee on Solent
15/02/1995 - to FAAM store at Wroughton
