With more radio controlled traders and clubs booked to appear than in previous years, over 2,000 model aircraft enthusiasts are anticipated at the Museum's Autumn Model Show.
The British Model Flying Association's spectacular display will take place outside the Museum on the airfield of RNAS Yeovilton and although the flying line-up for this year has yet to be confirmed, previous displays have seen stunt helicopters, prize winning Spitfires and even a jet powered Concorde taking to the skies. In addition to aircraft, enthusiasts of radio controlled model cars and tanks will be demonstrating their skills.
Throughout the Museum, over 100 traders and clubs of all persuasions will be present to offer unusual retail opportunities and advice on modelling techniques.
If you are wondering what to do with the children during the autumn half term, the Autumn Model Show could be just what you are looking for. there will be a range of workshops including an Airfix 'Make and Paint' workshop.
BMFA Flying Display, (weather permitting) will take place from 12noon - 2.00pm.
