Airfield Viewing Area
In addition to the exhibitions, Hall 2 also has public viewing areas of the air station where depending on operational demands you may see the naval aircraft going through their rigorous training procedures.
The Fleet Air Arm Museum looks out onto Europe's busiest military Air Station RNAS Yeovilton.
More than 100 rotary and fixed wing aircraft operate from here.
RNAS Yeovilton is the home base for the Royal Navy's Maritime Lynx and RN Commando Lynx and Sea King helicopters, Hawk jet trainers, Jetstream communication aircraft and Grob Tutor basic trainers. You might also see one of the Royal Navy's Historic Flight's Swordfish, Sea Fury or Seahawk aircraft arriving or departing for one of its display season air shows.
