Testimonials

On my last visit a year ago, I asked if a seat could be provided at the Skua Exhibition for the 54 minute documentary? Thank you! I've now watched the whole thing and rested my weary feet!

Excellent! Flight Deck and Island experience first class, brought back a few memories of 54 years ago! Spent time in service at HMS Heron (RAF Merryfield when Yeovilton was closed to lengthen runways).

Thank you for such a fantastic day out. The sheer size of all the aircraft overwhelmed me and my family and all the different experiences really did make the day an awful lot more exciting. It is a wonderful and amazing place for all the family.

Had a fantastic day. My ten year old son was overwhelmed by it all! Even my seven year old daughter thoroughly enjoyed herself. Thank you so much.

Sellick Family, Newton Abbot, Devon

It is nearly 40 years since my last visit and my things have changed!
Even though the day was busy, we never felt crowded at any point. Being able to get within touching distance of many of the exhibits was a great thing for four boys (12 & 13, some with learning difficulties). You even made my beloved happy as we have now both been on Concorde (pity it was not flying, but there you go). The boys went around the carrier experience several times, I am sure just for the plane lift ride at the end.
The carrier experience was a well thought out & executed exhibit, the whole effect was believable.
Thank you to your staff & creative minds for the day we had, so much to choose from, as to what was the best, we cannot manage that task.
A happy family who holidayed in Devon & visited you all the way from Lancashire (St Annes).

John Gilbert the most knowledgeable Explainer was the icing on the cake to our tour of this Museum. A wonderful day not to be missed. Thank you.

A chance encounter finding a leaflet for the Museum at a local garden centre has given us a wonderful day out. Totally captivated our 8 year old sons attention. Very well done.

Remember coming here as a kid and was just as impressed now as I was then. Fantastic day out. Many thanks.

Very enjoyable & extremely helpful staff - would recommend (also most pushchair friendly place we've been to for ages.) Thanks to the Director for his help!

I work in a residential care home for young adults on the autistic spectrum. 4 times a year one of our residents visits here and gets great enjoyment out of it. Thank you.

We only live 20 minutes away. Why haven't we been before - it's superb!

As a disabled visitor & family, I am very impressed with the wheelchair accessibility and signage. We will definitely come back again and I will recommend it to all my disabled friends. Thank you very much.

The Borley Family

Located next to the A303 near to Yeovil we were convinced by our 2 sons to drop into the FAA Museum on our way back from a weekend in Devon. There is easy access and free adjacent parking. The museum houses an impressive array of aircraft, ranging from WW1 bi-planes through to modern fighter jets which in themselves would warrant the entry fee. However, the highlight was undoubtedly the "aircraft carrier experience" in which we were taken by helicopter (simulated) onto the fully-replicated deck of a 1970's carrier, complete with video projected and superbly simulated take-offs and landings and then a fully guided walk through the ship's control "island". At the end we were delivered into the final hangar housing Concorde 002. It was a treat to be able to board and walk through this iconic plane.
Perhaps, funds allowing, more could be done to lend more interest to the other sections, which would make this an absolute "must visit", but this is just a small, constructive criticism of an excellent venue. Allow at least 3 hours to thoroughly enjoy!  (Apr. 2010)
